| Ok, so I now live in Houston! This past month has been crazy for me. I live with my parents. No harm in that. It's *free* !!! My dad got a new job in Sugarland (South of Houston). So we all moved. In one month, literally, he found a new job, found a house to rent, packed us all up, and we moved. It was extremely fast-paced. I am exhausted and things are just now getting back to normal. Our new house has a pool, so I am loving that. I am also loving the warm weather. 80's and 90's. I really love it! I am currently looking for a job. Pray that I find one. I found a great church here. I am already involved with the mid-20s singles group. They are fun. I am getting so tan! I love it! Things are a bit slower here. I love it! Can you guess that I love where I live?!? Seriously though, we live in a pretty busy area. My parents want to rent a house for a year until they can build one of their own. Man, they are ambitious! I am in the process of developing an onlin porfolio website. I already have one, but I may spruce it up a bit. I want it to be really edgy. So I am experimenting with some stuff in Photoshop. I am so glad that I can have this clean start to my life. A new area, a new outlook, let's see how God works! I am praying that whatever I do, whereever I go, whatever I look like, that I can bless him and glorify him. It's a lesson that I've been working on for the longest time. It's ongoing. I just found out that another one of my friends is engaged to a guy she met online. Another one married a girl that he met online this July. Do you think that online stuff really works? I am torn in what I think about that all. Don't get me wrong, I would never do it, but I do not know what to think about it all. Anyways....I gotta go. The sun is high in the sky and I'm goinmg swimming! Love you all! | | |
| So I know that I have to catch everyone up with what's going on in my life. It's hard because I now use myspace more than xanga. So I have to remember to keep you all informed as well! Ok, so you all know I graduated. My diploma arrived in the mail about a week ago. I almost cried. It is in it's little case and has my name embossed and everything! So I started a full time job three weeks ago. Yeah I've been working now for three weeks. It's frustrating and satisfying at the same time. Ever feel that way?!? So what do I do??? I'm an office manager for a construction company. I know...nothing to what my degree was in, but yet it is. You just have to peel back the layers to see it. I will be the web page designer and keeper for the company. I will also design all their marketing and advertising. And I get to file and keep up with the finances as well. Whew...a lot to take on in such a short time. It's frustrating because the company literally has to be built from the floor up. It is functioning, but there is hardly any technology at all. The owner did not see a reason to update his method of doing anything. His company is making seven figures a year and he doesn't see the need to have an office computer?!? He knew that he needed to change, but didn't know where to start. Enter: ME! I have been trying to get everything up and going these past three weeks. I haven't even started really designing. That starts on Monday. I'm excited! God has been providing and teaching me so much about myself these past three weeks. The job was not what I expected, but when has God given you something that you expected. There is usually a God-twist to everything he provides. At least that's been my experience. In this case...the God-twist is that he's showing me yet again how much I need Him and Him alone. When I get frustrated with my job or my life....he kinda taps me on the shoulder and lets me know that he's there. I love Him for that. Gotta love Him! So...that's what's been up with that. Karee...I haven't forgotten about the CDs to mail out to you. I've been so busy! I will get them out as soon as I can. It's on my to-do list. I've been getting more organized, so yeah...it's in my Franklin planner! Here's my myspace page for you all to view....I will have it on public view for one week...so if you don't go see it then just let me know you want to see it and I'll take it off private view. | I have finally graduated form college! I finished it all! I now possess a Bachelors of Fine Arts degree in Visual Communication. I am so excited! That is one of my resolutions completed! Next is to get a job! I've been applying and doing phone interviews, but nothing sold has stuck yet. Pray for me! I know that it has been ashilw since my last post. I have been a myspace girl. Go check it out... www.myspace.com/beck_lozen or check out my homepage www.rebeccalozen.bravehost.com/portfolio I love you all. I do not know whn I will post next. | I have always found it funny that people make resolutions every year. Than I thought about it and I realize that it is just a guide for some people. I am a list person. I make lists about everything. Some say that I am anal, but I just like to think that I am organized. SO...without furthur ado, here are my resolutions for 2007. 1. To get healthy. (this is a female way of saying lose weight) 2. To become fluent in Italian 3. Start taking German (I already have two years experience) 4. To finish college (3-17-07) 5. To travel to Italy 6. To get a job I would also like to meet a guy, but that's in God's timing, not my own. So that's my plans for the upcoming year. All are subject to change at God's Will. So I am holding to them with an open hand. Oh, I am sorry that I have not written in a while. I have started a myspace account. ( www.myspace.com/beck_lozen ) Most of my high school classmates are on myspace, so I keep track through that. So that's that! I will write back in a few days. Pray for me as my work load is just increasing and life is happening. *sigh* God bless! Me at a Caribou Cafe. I just finished a strawberry smoothie, thus the red teeth! Taken 12-15-06. | | |
